How does one go about studying in Canada?
The first step is to apply to a government-approved Canadian Designated Learning Institution (DLI). After receiving a letter of acceptance from a DLI, an individual may be eligible to apply for a study permit. You can apply either online or via mail. At a Canadian port of entry, all new study permits are issued. An applicant who has filed an application to a Canadian Visa Office in a foreign country will receive a letter of approval directing him or her to a Canadian port of entry to obtain a study visa. In most cases, a study permit is provided for the term of the student's studies.
What is the cost of studying in Canada?

What makes a Study Permit different from a Temporary Resident Visa?
A study permit allows overseas students to continue their studies while in Canada, whereas a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) allows someone to enter the country. An foreign student may require a TRV for admittance depending on their country of citizenship.
Are there any scholarships available in Canada for international students?
International students may be eligible for scholarships from private, government, or public institutions in Canada. International students may be eligible for scholarships from their chosen study institution.
If the application for a study permit is granted, applicants from countries whose residents require a TRV in order to visit Canada will be immediately awarded a TRV. There is no need to file a separate application for a TRV for these individuals, and there is no additional charge. Applicants from countries whose residents require an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter Canada by air are treated similarly.
Is it necessary to have a study permission for short courses?
For programs lasting less than six months, an applicant is not required to get study permission. A prospective student will need to apply for a study visa if the course is longer than six months.
