Out-of-State Scholarship and Waivers
Griffon Rate Scholarships
Undergraduate students from Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and South Dakota may be eligible for the Griffon Rate, which allows them to pay in-state tuition at Missouri Western State University.
Midwest Student Exchange (Partial Out-Of-State Tuition Waiver)
The Midwestern Higher Education Commission created this initiative to expand interstate educational possibilities for students from its member states. Residents of Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wisconsin can enroll in particular programs at reduced tuition rates under the program.
For selected programs, Missouri Western will charge no more than 150 percent of the in-state resident tuition rate under MSEP.
To be eligible for the program, you must meet the following requirements: Freshmen must have an ACT composite score of 21 and a 3.0 GPA for all high school courses, while transfer students must have a 3.0 GPA for all college-level coursework. To be eligible for renewal, recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA and complete a minimum of 24 credit hours during the academic year. Combining this reward with the Griffon Rate Waiver or the Frontier Scholarship is impossible. It's possible to renew it for up to ten semesters. The priority deadline is February 1st. Application Procedures: Awarded to qualifying students automatically.
Scholarships For International Students
Griffon Scholarship with a Guarantee (Automatic)
The Global Griffon Guarantee Scholarship is a merit-based award renewed and expanded every year! It is open to new international undergraduate students planning to study in the United States.
Other scholarships are not like the Global Griffon Guarantee Scholarship. It begins with a one-time award ranging from $500 to $4,000 that automatically renews and rises each year as long as you stay enrolled full-time, complete the required hours, and maintain excellent academic standing (2.0 GPA). This might be a scholarship of up to $20,500 for your education!
How it works
The international admissions staff calculates your GPA and determines your awards. Because Missouri Western recognizes that U.S. standardized testing is not equally available in all places, the Global Griffon Guarantee Scholarship does not require an SAT or ACT (or admission).
After 30 credits, you would receive a $1,000 boost per year after earning your initial award (usually one year). At 60 credits, you'll get another $500 increase, and at 90 credits, you'll get a final $500 gain. The best thing is that you will not lose your scholarship as long as you maintain a 2.0 GPA at Missouri Western State University.
The GGGS does not require any additional applications. All rewards will be given out in conjunction with your acceptance letter.
