University Of Waterloo Scholarships 2022
This grant is awarded based on academic success and extracurricular accomplishments as determined by the Admission Information Form and the online video interview. The University of Waterloo is a public university in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. A gift from Arthur F. Church has enabled this fund to be established in order to encourage excellent students to attend Waterloo and to aid them in their academic pursuits.
The University of Waterloo is a public research university in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, with its main campus in that city. Undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees are available. Scholarships are available to study undergraduate, research-based master's, and doctoral degrees in any topic offered by the University of Waterloo.
The program duration determined on the program chosen and the deadline for undergraduates is February 1, 2022.
In 2022, the university will enroll roughly 36,000 undergraduate and 6,200 postgraduate students, making it a co-educational school. Waterloo alumni and former students can be found all around Canada and in over 150 countries, and the university has produced countless award winners, government figures, and business executives.
Waterloo's research accomplishments have been recognized in a number of bibliometric university rankings, which employ citation analysis to assess a university's effect on academic publications.
University of Waterloo Scholarship Benefits
Scholarship recipients at the University of Waterloo will receive the following benefits:
- A one-term study experience is worth roughly $2,500, a one-term job or volunteer experience is between $2,500– $5,000, and a two-term work or volunteer experience is worth up to $10,000.
- The International Master's Award of Excellence is worth $2,500 per term, up to a total of six periods.
University of Waterloo: Who Can Apply
To be eligible for University of Waterloo Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- English is a required language.
- All countries in the world are eligible.
- Applicants must have a good academic standing (usually at least 70% average at the undergraduate level and at least 75% average at the graduate level) to be considered for these scholarships.
- Full-time undergraduate and graduate students from any faculty who want to participate in an international experience in Israel, as well as a minimally-paid or volunteer international co-op work placement, a volunteer placement, an academic exchange, or a study term related to academic requirements, are eligible to apply.
- Full-time international students with a lawful Canadian study permit are charged international tuition expenses.
- Students must demonstrate academic merit by meeting the Faculty's standards.
- Students must meet their program's academic progress standards and not have any outstanding probationary admission requirements.
This award could be used in conjunction with other internal or external scholarships (e.g., UW Graduate Scholarship, OGS, etc.). Sponsorships are not the same with scholarships – see the following instances.
- Students should not receive foreign government or agency assistance (e.g., China Scholarship Council, Libyan sponsorship, etc.) at the same time, nor should they be entirely or partially self-funded in excess of the Faculty minimum levels of support.
- Students who have been grandfathered under the current IMSA scheme are not eligible to be nominated for an IMAE; however, students who have previously received an IMSA for a master's degree are eligible.
- Applicants will automatically be considered for this prize if they apply for admission. Departments and/or faculties will describe their own internal method for selecting beneficiaries based on eligibility and allocation conditions.
As needed, faculties may impose stricter eligibility restrictions.
