Introducing Drew Action Scholars
Drew Action Scholars is a two-year program with a four-year scholarship directed by a unique, results-oriented approach to real-world problem-solving. Accepted students join a group of passionate peers about community, innovation, and global influence in an increasingly interconnected world. Complete the two-year program, and you'll be eligible for a $10,000 four-year scholarship ($2,500 per year).
Recognising the value of the Civic Scholars program's experiential learning, Drew University has expanded it into the Drew Action Scholars program, which now includes more students. It covers more—and more significant—real-world problems and solutions.
The inaugural batch of Drew Action Scholars will arrive in the fall of 2020. Apply for a scholarship while joining a small community of like-minded students if you are interested in any or all of the focus areas below:

Need-Based Grants and Financial Aid
Drew is dedicated to assisting students and families in obtaining a high-quality higher education. Drew University students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid to be evaluated for need-based grants (FAFSA). After October 1, you can fill out the FAFSA. Drew's priority deadline for new student FAFSA applications is February 15.
International Students
At the time of enrollment, international students are immediately considered for all Drew University Academic Scholarships. International students can also apply for a limited number of need-based grants and student work opportunities. Students must complete the International Student Financial Aid Application and submit it to the Office of Financial Assistance by June 15 at finaid@drew.edu or 973-408-3188 for consideration (fax).
Outside Scholarships
Students may apply for scholarships granted by outside organisations in addition to Drew University's scholarships and grants. Any unfulfilled needs in the financial help package will be met with external rewards. Based on federal and state rules, a modification to the self-help element of the box (work-study and loans) may be made once the need has been fully addressed. Drew University need-based grants will be decreased if the total of all scholarships and gifts exceed the student's financial condition. Unless the sum of all donations and scholarships surpasses the cost of tuition, extrinsic rewards will have no bearing on Drew University's merit-based scholarships.
ROTC Scholarships
ROTC (Army Reserve Officer Training Corps)
For student membership in the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps, Drew University collaborates with Seton Hall University (ROTC). Drew is 12 miles from Seton Hall, located in South Orange, New Jersey. Most students drive the 20-minute commute twice a week, either in their car, in a Zipcar, or with a friend.
Army ROTC is a leadership program that permits cadets to attend college as ordinary students while training to become officers in the United States Army. Prospective cadets have several options for receiving a full scholarship from the Army.
Seton Hall's Pirate Battalion is one of three Army ROTC host campuses in New Jersey. Other crosstown universities, including Drew, contribute to the 100-strong Battalion of Cadets through this ROTC program.
The ROTC program aims to recruit qualified and motivated students dedicated to learning Army ideals and standards. Cadets will receive training on Army operations and coaching on how to lead soldiers. They will be coached to help them develop leadership abilities, qualities, and attributes that will benefit our community. Finally, in collaboration with Seton Hall, the ROTC program at Drew will commission Army officers of integrity who will lead our Army and nation to good world status.
